learn, teach and watch taiko in concert. NETK sends out

the shakuhachi dojo (school) of Phil James, is also the
New England branch of the Mujuan shakuhachi school in Kyoto.
Phil
teaches the solo honkyoku music, sankyoku (classical trio
music for shakuhachi, shamisen, and koto), modern music,
improvisation, breath work and meditative approaches to
musicianship. He has been given the rank of Shihan (master)
in the Ki Sui An school, along with the professional name
Nyokai."
